Guyana Goldfields Inc. is primarily focused on the exploration and development of gold deposits in the Guiana Shield of South America. The Guiana Shield is in the northern part of the Amazon Craton and covers parts of Guyana, Venezuela, Suriname, French Guyana, and northern Brazil. Guyana holds advanced exploration projects in various stages of development and has been operating in Guyana continuously since 1996. The has amassed some 350 sq. km of mineral exploration rights. The properties include and encompass the two largest past-producing gold mines in the country (the Peters and Aurora Mines) and also cover numerous additional highly prospective gold exploration targets. In addition the Company has acquired a 159,000 acre land package in Nunavut, Canada which includes the Wreck Lake deposit of 3,250,000 tons grading 3.77% Cu.
